Ali and Bernie have been colouring the airwaves for over ten years with their unique commentary on Middlesbrough Football Club for Century fm, going all the way from the Riverside to a gold award at the New York Radio Festival 2006.
Life around the Teesside duo is never dull as Bernie has shown his backside in Binns window, had his rear felt by Jonathan Ross on the BBC before trying to become mayor of Middlesbrough, whilst Ali has commentated on over 1000 Boro matches all the way from Ayresome Park to Eindhoven.
Ali and Bernie’s website is not only their view on Boro in the Premier League but also a chance to find out a bit more about the King of the Parmo and the Hero of the Holgate.
Ali on the TV
Throughout this football season Ali will report on every Boro home match for ITV Tyne Tees on North East Tonight with Pam Royle and Ian Payne.
Century fm
Although Century fm are currently not providing commentary on Boro games, Ali will still report on every match providing a match preview, half and full-time reports, together with regular score updates. Also, listen out for Ali’s match previews on Century Today and Century Tonight prior to kick-off and when Boro do not have a Saturday fixture Ali will be in the Century fm studio from 2pm until 6pm presenting the popular Soccer Saturday show.

Voice Of The Boro, a new book chronicling the tales of Alastair Brownlee told from 25 years behind the microphone following Middlesbrough Football Club, now available from the usual stockists.
